About Asaad Alnajjar
Overview
Asaad Alnajjar has dedicated over 35 years to serving Los Angeles as a city and community leader. With deep knowledge of how the city operates—and how it can improve—he is running for Mayor in June 2026 to enhance quality of life for all Angelenos.
Engineering Leadership
A licensed Structural Professional Engineer, Asaad has led award-winning infrastructure projects: light rail networks, the LAX People Mover, Smart City monitoring, automated traffic systems, and sustainability initiatives.
Community Involvement
A 42-year resident of Porter Ranch, Asaad has served on and chaired the Neighborhood Council. He volunteers with the Boys & Girls Club, SOLID, and CERT-LA—empowering residents and strengthening neighborhoods.
Public Safety & Sustainability
Member of the City's Emergency Operations Center and crisis response team, collaborating with LAPD, LAFD, and agencies. Contributed to LA’s Resilience Plan and Green New Deal—installing EV chargers, solar lighting, and saving $10M annually.
Professional & Academic
Co-founded VoEx Inc. (2001) and VoEx International LLC (2003), served as CSO and President. Co-founded Volo International Inc. (2013–17) and founded Millennium Inc. (1986–2016). Holds B.S. and M.S. in Civil & Structural Engineering from USC.
